This is a topic I’ve wanted to post on for some time, so now the time has finally arrived to get it written. As readers know, the theory of evolution has been force-fed into the minds of school-age children and adults of all ages for generations. People growing up assuming that great minds have proven that evolution is a reality that cannot be doubted. People believing that dogma have been lied to. Evolution has never been proved to be a fact. Indeed, it is not difficult to prove that evolution cannot be true. The physical laws of the Universe don’t allow for evolution to have ever happened.
The physical laws of the Universe can be watched and confirmed in nature. Do gardens left to themselves become ever-more complex and orderly? No! They turn into unrecognizable weed patches. Do small mud huts and weakly-constructed dwellings gradually evolve into convention centers and skyscrapers on their own without any intelligent design acting upon them? Of course not. Do non-living cardboard cut-outs of animals ever gradually evolve into the actual animals painted on the cut-outs? It would be laughable to say yes to such an absurd question as we all know non-living things never evolve into living things. Yet for evolution to be true, the answer to all the questions stated previously in this paragraph MUST be yes. All species have an inherent ability to adapt to changes in their environments to some degree. Some animals can adapt to many changes in their environment. Coyotes are one such species. They have adapted to survive in mountains, forests, prairies, suburban landscapes, etc. Other changes in environments can be lethal to species. The mass hunting by mankind was an environmental change that Tasmanian Tigers, Dodo Birds and Passenger Pigeons could not adapt to. They went extinct.
The concept of irreducible complexity can be stated that there are complex systems in the living and non-living realms that cannot be reduced to their constituent parts. The first link offers many good comments on the concept of irreducible complexity from a biblical point of view. I urge you to read it as it gives you the basics of the concept in a fairly short article. Many living creatures have anatomical features which cannot re-reduced to constituent parts and still remain functional. Eyesight, the design of the foot and many other organic functions cannot be explained in any context other than a Creator bringing into being organic systems with all their constituent parts acting together from the moment they came to life. These constituent parts cannot “evolve” separately over millions of years. They must come into being simultaneously for an organic system to function at all. For example if an eye in a new-born of any species is not properly developed at the time a newborn of that species is born, lets say a retina, then that eye will not function at all–even if all other eye-parts are formed fully functional. The eye is an example of an irreducible complex organ as ALL its constituent parts must come into existence at the same time or the eye will not function at all. The second link examines how the miracle of eyesight and other realities fully disprove the theory of evolution.
Charles Darwin theorized that species developed from adaptive tissues acting on their own to form ever more complex systems until, presto-chango (!), new organs and species came into existence. The discovery of DNA proved Darwin’s theory to be a wild fantasy. he presence of DNA in all cells showed that the DNA and RNA worked together to construct newborns of every species according to complex “blueprints” contained in the DNA of the cells of every species. Every cell in your body was “blueprinted” by incredibly complex and long strands of DNA to become the kind of cell it was programmed to be. When a fetus is forming in the uterus of a mother, every cell of the fetus is programmed to become what it had to be for a fully-developed fetus to be born into the world and become a baby.
I’m going to illustrate the simplicity of the irreducible complexity concept by asking you to consider the human body. When a baby is born, all of its essential organs must be ready to function according to its intended purpose and in harmony with all the other organs so a baby can live. If every organ is fully ready to work correctly, but the lungs are not prepared to assimilate oxygen into the body, then the body will die. All the other fully-functional organs will also die because the lungs couldn’t work right to enable the entire organism to survive. As human beings (or the members of any other species) age, the organs in that human being all age as well, but they do not age at the same constant rate. The vital organs, such as the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, digestive system, pancreas, brain, etc must all continue to function for the entire body to live. As soon as one critical organ in a human being fails to function any longer, the entire body dies. For example, it doesn’t matter if all the other critical organs of a body are working fine, if the heart suddenly cannot function as its needs to to pump blood to all the other organs and stops pumping any blood (a “heart attack”), then all the fully-functional organs will die when the heart dies. These critical organs must all function together for any of them to live at all! The collective critical organs are all part of a living organic system that exists in a state of irreducible complexity.
And just as all organs in a body must continue to function properly for any of them to live, it is also true that all critical organs must be working properly at the very moment of birth for any of the organs to continue to survive The critical organs within any living being compose an irreducible complex system. The “whole” cannot survive without the simultaneous functioning of all its constituent parts. Every species that came into existence in the distant past, had to have its critical organs come into existence at the same exact moment in time for any of them to continue to live. Obviously, a body cannot live if its critical organs all take different lengths of time to “evolve” their respective abilities. One critical organ cannot wait a few million years for the other critical organs to evolve into existence. No organic body can live unless all critical organs come into existence at the same exact time! This utterly obvious fact destroys the arguments for evolution. The only scientific and factual explanation for the existence of all physical beings of all species is found in Genesis 1-2 which records that a Divine Creator spoke all the original members of every species into existence over the course of a few days. It also records the obvious fact that each species had to be created with a fully-fertile male and female member for each species to continue to survive through future generations [The third link documents how gender realities and differences crush the theory of evolution and hurl it into the waste basket of nonsensical and foolish ideas that have existed over time.]
A look at the created species on earth affirm the existence of a common creator. Even as architects can easily tell if a particular building was built in the style of R. Buckminster Fuller, Frank Lloyd Wright or other builders, a glance at animal species on earth show an endless variety of species created in a common style or design. Bodies made of flesh typically have many common elements. They consist of muscles and tissues draped over a skeletal system held together by cartilage, ligaments, etc. with internal organs inside the external frame of tissues and with some kind of skin covering the entire organism. A brain gives each member of each species a common reality of skills, functions, etc. with which it navigates the experience of life until it dies when one of the irreducibly complex organs fails to function. I’ve often wondered how long God planned the bodies, brains, etc. of each species before he spoke it into physical reality. Did God have some kind of think-tank in heaven designing each species and creating patterns of DNA to ensure the species would remain in the form it which it was intended to live? Genesis 1 tells us God created a sun, moon an atmosphere, etc. to prepare for the creation of living creatures. He did all his creative efforts in 6 days and rested on the seventh day which he hallowed and named it the Sabbath Day (Genesis 2:1-3). .
Genesis 1-2 is the only explanation for life on earth that makes any scientific sense. Genesis 1 and Job 26:7 inform us that the Elohim (the kings of the spirit world we call “God”) created the entire physical world as we know it today and created temporary life forms in this physical Universe. Job 26:7 clearly tells us correctly that the earth was “hung on nothing” (a sphere suspended in the emptiness of outer space). This fact also shows us the scientific accuracy of the Bible and confirms its scientific content was millennia ahead of its time.
Of course, there is no hope for some whose careers and reputations depend on defending evolution, no matter how many ways it can be shown to be false. Biblical prophecy tells that the creator Elohim will make their presence known to mankind, their wayward and “fallen” creation during the latter days of our age. When the Elohim make themselves known in various miraculous ways in the years ahead of us, no one will still believe in evolution.
