A very important milestone in the global financial world has just occurred. It also marks a step in the direction of fulfilling a biblical prophecy to be fulfilled in the latter days of our current age. It also attests to the deteriorating position of the US Dollar and the overall finances of the US federal budget. Moody’s bond-rating entity company just downgraded the ratings of US federal debt from the highest AAA rating to the next-lowest rating category. It has finally joined Standard and Poors and Fitch in lowering the safety rating of US debt instruments. These “Big Three” ratings agencies now all have now reduced the US federal debt rating from its once-lofty AAA rating. The first three links (1, 2, 3) offer various perspectives on the loss of all AAA bond ratings by the US federal government. Also I will offer a brief quote from an article entitled: GOP hard-liners block Trump’s “big beautiful bill” by Jacob Bogage and Marianna Sotomayor. I can’t include the link as I am not a subscriber to the Washington Post, where it was first printed. It states: “Moody’s Ratings stripped the U.S. Government of its top credit rating, citing successive governments failure to stop a rising tide of debt.”
This action occurs as the US Congress is laboring to come up with a new federal budget which is certainly destined to satisfy various political constituencies but will take no meaningful action to reduce the US federal budget deficit. It pains me to write it, but there is no indication that the US federal government ever intends to address its gargantuan (and growing) federal debt. This policy of deliberate neglect increases the likelihood that more downgrades of US federal debt in the future will occur. The loss of all AAA bond ratings for US debt may, when history is written in the future, be the turning point when the US federal debt and the US dollar began what will become a terminal slide. There is no way of knowing how many years this process will take, but the refusal by the Congress to stop spending debt-money in ever-increasing amounts is the main cause of what will be a global crack-up at some point in the future. The DOGE spending cuts which have been much in the news since Trump became president are a long overdue step in the right direction, but they are only a baby step in the right direction.
The Bible states an immutable financial law in Proverbs 22:7: “the rich rule over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender.” The prosperity of the USA and many nations around the world is based on spending fantasy money now (via the borrowing process) and “kicking the can” down the road in terms of ever paying it back. Our debts have been sent to our children and grand-children to pay off. It is my opinion that the current generations of young people, who are used to endless debt-funded prosperity, will someday realize how much debt has been piled on their shoulders and they will simply refuse to pay those debts incurred by their grandparents and parents. In other words, they will renege on paying off those debts when they come due. If a popular groundswell doesn’t repudiate the debts outright, the people will elect senators and representatives to Congress who will be pledged to formally repudiate the debts-either by outright repudiation or by so weakening the US dollar that the outstanding bonds and debts will be effectively paid off at a rate of a few cents on the dollar. In this and other possible ways, borrowers will certainly revolt against the money-lenders.
Debt is totally out of control in the world economy. Besides trillions of US dollars and the aggregate debts of all sovereign nations, there are incalculably more trillions of debts in corporate debts, personal credit card debts, student debts, state and municipal debts, car loan debts, etc. Someday these debts will all come due and they will reach a point where they can no longer be “kicked down the road.” At some point, the expanding balloon of aggregate total debts will burst and everything will “pop” all at once due to cascading failures in all fiat-currency-based financial markets. The more digital the modern markets become, the quicker the collapse will occur. Our interlinked global financial markets could collapse in an instant. US presidents and Congresses have made it abundantly clear they are unwilling or unable to curb their wildly-excessive spending. In adopting this policy of deliberate neglect, they have made a future collapse inevitable.
Revelation 17-18 contain a prophecy about this inevitable future financial collapse. It prophesies that the ruling classes called Babylon the Great will be overthrown by the world’s nations. A modern name for Babylon the Great would be the term “Deep State.” Revelation 18:1-10 pronounce woes upon the latter-day political and merchant classes of the world for their greed and corruption. Revelation 18:11-14 foretell the “merchants of the earth” (global corporations) will have an endless array of goods and services to sell to people but “no man buys their merchandise any more.” This aptly describes a monetary crisis where the money itself is no longer trusted so there is no reliable medium of exchange with which to buy anything. This situation could be fulfilled by a collapse of the US dollar and the other global fiat currencies as well. Revelation 17:8-18 prophesy that “seven heads and ten horns” will overthrow the Babylon the Great’s Deep State and replace it with a new “beast” power which will have global sway. Revelation 17:16 uses language that indicates bloody wars will be part of this process as the rising beast power will do this to Babylon the Great (also called “The Great Whore” in this prophecy): they “shall eat her flesh and burn her with fire.” Revelation 18 foretells a great seaport city valuable to global finance will be destroyed in a great fire. The city’s destruction comes in just one hour (Revelation 18:10, 17 and 19). The merchant ships stand far off from the burning seaport city (verses 17-19). Why are they positioning themselves far from the burning city? Perhaps because it is radioactive after a terrorist nuclear bomb is detonated? Time will tell, but a great financial collapse accompanies this disastrous event. For a more detailed analysis of this collapse and why the Bible calls the end-time system “Babylon the Great,” I invite you to read my free articles: Is “Babylon the Great” about to Fall…Ushering in a Global “Beast” System? and The Babylonian Origin of the Modern Banking System.
I’ll finish this post with an odd fact. Remember the recent tragic air collision in Washington DC airspace that killed the passengers and crew of a passenger airliner and the crew of a military helicopter? Two bond-rating executives from Moody’s bond-rating service were on that plane and died when it went down (fourth link, fifth link and sixth link). Soon afterward, Moody’s downgrades the US government debt rating. What an odd coincidence.
