Just today, I saw a news segment on Newsmax cable-TV channel that discussed Iran’s ability to obtain control of Bitcoins at what could be called “garage sale” prices. Could this be an effort to control the Bitcoin/Crypto market on a world-wide basis? The Newsmax segment motivated me to look for it on the Newsmax website, but I found nothing there. I did a web search on the topic and found there was much available on the topic. I will share a few of the available links. At the outset of this post, let me begin by acknowledging that I do not own and have never owned any Bitcoin or any other crypto currency nor have I ever traded or invested in cryptos. I only invest in things that I understand, and I must admit I do not understand how anyone can regard cryptos as legitimate money. If you can’t take a crypto coin to the supermarket, buy groceries and get change in smaller-denomination crypto coins, then how can Cryptos be a currency if you can’t buy any essentials with it? However, I have friends who do regard cryptos as “money,” and many investors do as well. For that reason, I wanted to get the information in these links to my readers asap.
I believe these links describe a nefarious and clandestine effort by Iran to control the Bitcoin/Crypto market. They may intend to control the market by greatly lowering the price of Bitcoin to undermine whoever else is trying to sell them. This is the same strategy of “price undercutting” used over the years by China to steal manufacturing plants from the USA.
The first link asserts that “4.5%” of global Bitcoin trading in 2021 took place in Iran. That percentage has doubtlessly risen since then. Iran reportedly made “hundreds of millions of dollars in 2021” on its Bitcoin mining efforts and that total could be in the billions of dollars per year now. It adds that Iran had 180,000 crypto mining devices in 2023. Bitcoin was selling on the open market for about $107,000 the last I looked; however, the first link states that Iran can mine a single Bitcoin for just $1,300. The link cites the “immense profit” Iran makes from mining Bitcoin at a very cheap price and then selling it for an approximately 80 percent increase on the open market. By invading the Bitcoin market, Iran has been able to avoid the crippling economic sanctions imposed upon it by the West, and it is gaining leverage over a growing portion of the Western world’s crypto markets. The second link agrees that Iran can mine a Bitcoin for just $1,300.It is commonly known that “mining” Bitcoins takes immense amounts of electricity. The first link and second link note that the spate of recent power outages in Iran is likely due to the Bitcoin mining operations soaking up much of Iran’s electrical power. This may explain why Iran wanted to build “peaceful” nuclear power plants; it wanted to build massive nuclear power plants dedicated just to the effort of mining Bitcoins at dirt-cheap prices. Some of Israel’s and America’s bombing missions in the recent strikes on Iran may have been intended to limit Iran’s ability to generate electricity to create a huge reserve of inexpensive Bitcoins. If you want to buy a Bitcoin, why buy one at the Western price of $100,000+ when you can buy a Bitcoin from an Iranian vendor for $1,300? By creating a huge reserve of ultra-cheap Bitcoins, Iran could undermine or collapse the Western crypto markets by flooding them with cheap Bitcoins and other cheap crypto products.
The third link describes a plan by the USA to create a strategic Bitcoin/Crypto reserve. However, if Iran can flood the world market with Bitcoins priced a $1,300 each, what good would it do to have a strategic reserve of vastly overpriced cryptos bought at $100,000+? Also, if Iran can mine Bitcoins for just $1,300, why can’t China do the same thing…and why can’t Russia do it too? If Iran can sell massive amounts of Bitcoin at $1,300, won’t the world price of Bitcoin fall to the Iranian price level as that will be the cheapest way to obtain them? It is no secret that the BRICS nations desire to end the dominance of the US dollar on world markets. If a cheap, Iranian-mined Bitcoin is the same as an expensive US-mined Bitcoin, then the Iranians will set the price for Bitcoin on the world markets, and Iran would love to pick a time to do it when it will collapse the planned American Crypto reserve discussed in the third link. Global financial matters could be far more complex than we can appreciate.
Revelation 17-18 describe an event in the latter days of our current age when there will be a global financial/monetary collapse. Revelation 18:11-14 foretell a time will come when global merchants are unable to sell goods and services to customers because “no man buys their merchandise any more.” In other words, the merchants have much to sell, but something happens which brings all global “buying and selling” to a sudden halt. This sounds like a currency crisis where no one knows what “money” is worth any longer. Add a collapse in confidence in the value of Bitcoin as one more theoretical cause of the sudden currency/monetary collapse prophesied in Revelation 18:11-14. Revelation 18:10 says the global collapse will occur within one hour! In today’s digitally-interlinked and leveraged money/financial markets, a global collapse in the price of Bitcoin and digital assets could lead to a collapse of all markets in just one hour. This prophecy was written circa 90 AD, but only an all-powerful Creator God could foresee the future to inspire a prophecy such as this. The invisible God who inspired this prophecy had to be able to foresee mankind would have very high-tech finance tools in the latter days of our current age.
