Today it was reported by www.debka.com that Russia has agreed to quickly provide its ally, Iran, with a top-quality, modern air force (see link). In doing so, Russia gave a very hard slap in the face to the USA which has unsuccessfully tried to persuade Russia into “helping” the world community to stop the growing military danger from Iran. Far from helping the world community, Russia’s move shows it to be a firm ally of Iran and a very real and dangerous enemy of the USA.
Iran has been building its military forces, but its air power has lagged behind. Its top air force warplane has been the aging F-14’s bought from the USA during the reign of the last Shah of Iran. The USA refused to give them spare parts for F-14s and they were poorly-maintained. Russia’s move will give Iran a modern air force in a surprisingly short time. The Debka story indicates Russia will sell to Iran 250 of its new SU-30 fighters plus 20 IL-28 aerial refueling planes. This will give Iran the capacity to launch long-range airstrikes against not only Israel, but also Europe, the entire Mideast and India as well. This is a very warlike move by both Russia and Iran against the western nations, but it remains to be seen if any Western leaders have the wit to grasp this obvious fact. The SU-30 aircraft is likened to the USA’s F-15 fighter aircraft, and Iran can expect deliveries of the new Russian warplanes “before the end of 2007.” Of course, previous media articles have reported that China is providing technological help to Iran to build up its missile forces to be used against the US fleet in the Persian Gulf in any new war. Russia has also sold to Iran advanced anti-aircraft systems to enable Iran to kill American planes if the USA attacks Iran.
These actions are no surprise at all to those who understand the prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39, which foretold that Russia, China, Iran and other nations would form an anti-Western alliance in the latter days of our age. That prophecy indicates this new axis will most certainly attack the latter-day nations of the “house of Israel,” a standard biblical phrase for the ten tribes of Israel. The “ten tribes of Israel” are not the Israelis. The Israelis are the “house of Judah,” a standard biblical phrase for Jews throughout history. For extensive documentation that today’s NATO nations are led by the modern nations of the house of Israel, readers are referred to my books on this subject (see book links at this website). There is no question that the preparations to fulfill this key biblical prophecy for “the latter days” (Ezekiel 38:16) are coming to pass right before our eyes! The precise fulfillment of this ancient prophecy in our time also confirms that the Creator God of the Bible is directing the destinies of modern nations to fulfill his Divine will, whether they want to do so or not and whether they know it or not. The accurate fulfillment of Ezekiel 38’s prophecy about the Russian-Chinese-Iranian alliance is obvious, but the churches and nations are asleep to this fact. Most churches do not grasp that the ten tribes of Israel can easily be found among modern nations, and they fail to grasp that Genesis 49 and Revelation 7 require that the ten tribes be present among the latter-day nations of the world. Many churches (who are little more than social clubs mixed with some “God-talk”) do not even grasp we are living in the latter-days because they do not understand the Bible at all. The leaders of modern nations are all doing exactly what the God of the Bible foretold millennia ago! They will continue to do so in the future.
Despite President Bush’s and Secretary of State Rice’s strenuous efforts, Russia has now become a political and military enemy of the USA and the West. Russia’s Vladimir Putin recently repudiated the Conventional Forces in Europe Treaty (CFE) which allows Russia to move its tanks and military equipment right up to NATO’s borders in any quantity it wants. This action prompted former Soviet Foreign minister Eduard Shevardnadze (also the former President of Georgia in the Caucasus region) to declare that Russia had taken the first step in starting a “new Cold War” (see newsmax.com story, “Shevardnadze: Russia Heads to New Cold War,” 7-16-07). Iran is vehemently anti-American, anti-Western and anti-Israeli. It is clearly preparing for an apocalyptic war and wants to “wipe the Israelis off the map.” China is already waging war against the USA via monetary and economic means as it has gained a choke-hold over the US economy and has duped American businesses into moving their vital manufacturing facilities to China, the world’s largest Communist nation! The gullibility of global corporations and Western political leaders to allow the relocation of the West’s manufacturing facilities to a hostile nation is almost beyond belief! II Thessalonians 2:10-11 states that the same God who is precisely bringing to pass the exact alliances prophesied in Ezekiel 38 will send “strong delusion” into the minds of those who deny self-evident biblical and prophetic truths. Maybe that explains the delusional hopes of Western leaders that they will be able to “control” or “manage” Russia and China. President Bush once said something like he had gazed into Putin’s soul and found someone he could work with. Subsequent events confirm Bush was completely deceived by Putin, a cagey ex-KGB leader.
The Debka article also indicated the Iranians “leaned hard” on India to give Iran the advanced Israeli avionics package which Israel had sold to India to upgrade the SU-30s bought earlier by India. The fact that India refused to do so is vitally important. This further indicates that India is moving closer into the Western camp which includes NATO nations, Japan, Israel, Australia, etc. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Israeli technicians are going over India’s SU-30s to find a way to understand and thwart that plane’s capacities in Iranian hands.
The window of opportunity for either the USA or the Israelis to act against Iran’s nuclear weapons facilities is closing fast. Will any action be taken? Time will tell. If military action is taken against Iran, the USA has no ground forces left to invade Iran, so any action can be expected to be limited to air strikes and missile attacks against Iran’s nuclear and military facilities. If such action is taken, Iran may retaliate against the oil-producing facilities of those Moslem nations who sell oil to Western nations. Worldwide terrorist “sleeper cells” could be unleashed in the USA and Europe. It could get real ugly, real fast. Any such warfare between Iran and the West will actually be a proxy war in behalf of Russia and China , who may be eager to test their new generation of weaponry against US forces. In the Persian Gulf War of 1991, the USA unveiled a new weapon: the stealth fighter. The USA might again unleash a new kind of secret weapon in any new warfare in the Mideast. Any such warfare would also push Iran totally and completely into an alliance with Russia and China to gain revenge against the USA and the West (exactly as Ezekiel 38 foretold). Indeed, Russia and China have likely given private assurances to Iran that they will rebuild whatever the USA destroys in any warfare, so Iran may think it has nothing to lose.
Paul prophesied in II Timothy 3:1 that “perilous times” would come during the latter days of this age. Was he ever right!
