For years there have been proposals about the US military deploying laser-based weaponry. It is now finally beginning to actually happen. Some laser weapons are being deployed in various branches of the US military, but it must be added in a cautionary note that a fully-equipped laser force is years away.

The first link and second link report about a visit by War Secretary Pete Hegseth to a demonstration firing of several laser weapons systems. The lasers demonstrated had applications for both the US Army and the US Navy. One laser system had a successful test in October, 2025 when it destroyed “multiple drones” while being fired from the deck of the aircraft carrier, USS GW Bush. The recent military actions in the Mideast demonstrated that it is financially impossible to produce enough expensive “kinetic” interceptors to destroy cheap, incoming drones from a hostile power (Iran). It makes little sense for the US to fire interceptor missiles costing millions of dollar each to down drones costing a few tens of thousands in dollar value. The US military has an urgent need to produce cheap drone interceptor weapons, given the recent experience in combat operations in the Mideast. The ongoing war in the Ukraine-Russia theater also has abundantly demonstrated the usefulness of cheap drone weaponry to inflict massive damage on targeted areas.

All nations in NATO should take note of the state of drone warfare in the exchanges between Russia and Ukraine. The skill of the Ukrainians in developing domestically-produced drones to destroy incoming drones as well as tanks and armored vehicles indicates that Ukraine has the most developed drone fighting industry anywhere in Europe. Russia has hurt the Ukrainians for several years with drones, but Ukraine has now developed offensive warfare drones to attack Russian targets. Ukrainian drones caused massive fires at a Moscow refinery/oil facility and just recently disabled the power supplies at the largest Russian-occupied city in the Crimea. NATO really needs the Ukrainian skills in drone warfare to be taught to all NATO nations so they can be prepared to fight Russian drones in the future if necessary.

The third link shows a demonstration of a new American laser weapon system. The fourth link focuses on the sense of urgency now being experienced in the US Navy to develop laser weapons systems to defend US warships from attack. Laser weaponry has a huge advantage in that it can fire laser pulses at enemy targets almost indefinitely. The laser energy for each firing, if supplied by a nuclear reactor, can enable US warships to fire at targets endlessly and such a weapons system makes the storage of numerous kinetic interceptors (missiles, defensive drones, etc.) unnecessary. The links show the potential for laser weapons in the US military is great, but they also detail the limitations of adapting new laser weaponry into the differing superstructures of existing US warship classifications. Laser weapons have been installed on some US warships, but it will be time consuming to adapt laser weapons into the US Navy’s differing ship types. The fifth link is a web search page offering many different viewpoints on laser weaponry for those readers who desire more information or videos of the US laser weaponry in use.

The development of advanced weaponry was foretold in the Bible’s prophecies. A generic prophesy on this subject is found in Daniel 12:1-4, which foretells that “knowledge shall be increased” in the latter days. If any reader doubts we are living in the biblical “latter days,” please examine the extensive evidence in the sixth link to support such a conclusion. The Hebrew word translated “increased” means an exponential increase in knowledge, not merely a small increase. It is the same Hebrew word translated “increased” in Genesis 7:17 where it describes how the waters “increased” on the earth to flood all the land on our planet. In other words, it means an unimaginable increase!

Revelation 13:1-5 describes how a future “beast” leader will emerge at the head of the alliance that introduces the “beast” system of government and finance on the latter day societies just prior to the return of Jesus Christ. Verse 4 includes the reaction of the world’s population when the beast unveils an entire class of new weaponry to support his reign. The nations say “Who is able to make war with him?” This question reveals that the nations will be unaware of many new and advanced weapons systems which were developed prior to their unveiling.

Those futuristic weapons systems are doubtless already being developed without any public awareness. I think one system will be a very sophisticated “cloaking” technology as was a staple in the Star-Trek genre of TV shows and movies. I wrote over a decade ago about such weaponry being developed, and I also penned several follow-up posts. You can go to my website, stevenmcollins.com and click on the “search” feature at my Prophecy Blog option and type in “invisibility technology” to access those posts. The seventh link is a link to one of my past posts on this topic and it has links to some of my other past posts on invisibility technology which describe scenarios wherein invisibility technology could be used to fulfill specific biblical prophecies.
