This brief post is to pass on what I thought was an extraordinary link I found on the internet today. It reports that Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger has predicted that there will be no Israeli nation in ten years. The article reviews the many current security challenges to the Israelis, and it also broaches the question of whether Kissinger’s statement was a product of senility. Nevertheless, Kissinger has carried much weight in international affairs for many years, so whatever he says gets reported.
It can safely be stated and predicted that there will be an Israeli nation not only in ten years from now, but also for a long time into the future. The Bible answers Kissinger’s prediction with one of its own. Zechariah 12 and Zechariah 14 both prophesy that at the end of our current age, the Israeli nation (“Judah” in biblical terminology) will not only survive, but that God will intervene with Divine power to make sure it survives. Indeed, it will flourish in the Messianic Age/Millennium. In Zechariah 12:3, God states categorically that he will see to it that all the nations of the earth who gather themselves together against Judah and Jerusalem will be “cut to pieces.” Zechariah 14:1-2 prophesies a deadly war will be raging at the end of this age and the city of Jerusalem invaded and partially taken at the time the Creator God of the Bible personally intervenes and wages lethal war against Judah’s attackers. Those who are attacking Judah (the Israelis) and Jerusalem at that future time will literally experience the kind of grisly deaths that were depicted by Hollywood for the Nazis at the end of the movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark (Zechariah 14:12).
Will Judah (the Israeli nation) survive into the future? The report in the link below states Kissinger predicts they won’t survive. The Bible guarantees they will survive. God can make sure his words come to pass. Henry Kissinger can’t. Kissinger has made a flawed guess about the future.
