There have been a number of media articles about whether Pakistani nukes could fall into the hands of the Taliban or other radical Islamic terrorists. The Times of India today reported that “Jihadis” (no doubt the Taliban or their allies) have already made three attacks on Pakistan’s nuclear facilities. News about these attacks, made during 2007 and 2008, were all but “blacked out” by the media until now. Especially bold was a Jihadi “attack on [Pakistan’s] nuclear missile storage facility.” There can be no question that these Jihadi attackers were trying to seize some of Pakistan’s nuclear warheads.

The report (see link below) details Pakistan’s security measures taken recently to beef up the security of their nuclear facilities, but the presence of so many Taliban and their supporters within Pakistan does cause doubt about the security of these internal procedures. The Pakistani government supported the Taliban/Mujahadeen during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan so there have also been previous media reports wondering how many Taliban sympathizers and allies are still within the Pakistani military and/or intelligence services. At that previous time, it was the USA which was supplying missiles and weapons to the Afghan resistance to use against the Russians. Now the situation is reversed. It is America which has now been sucked into an Afghan quagmire instead of the Russians.

In previous blogs, I have stated my opinion that Afghanistan and Pakistan are likely to become parts of the Gog-Magog alliance in the future. This is based on the fact that Ezekiel 38:5 states that “Cush” (translated “Ethiopia” in the KJV of the Bible) will be a part of the Gog-Magog alliance of Russia, China and Iran. Cush, a grandson of Noah, gave his name to one of the main branches of the family of Ham (Genesis 10:6). His name is still on the modern map to this day. The “Hindu Kush” mountains straddle the northern portions of the nations of Afghanistan and Pakistan, and this region is a Taliban stronghold. It is also possible that these two nations may fragment and that not all of their national territory will be part of the Gog-Magog alliance.  We will have to wait and see, but there is no question that the Gog-Magog alliance listed in Ezekiel 38’s prophecy is coming together in our modern world precisely as prophesied over 2500 years ago. This confirms that the Creator God who authored the Bible is, indeed, fulfilling his prophesies in our modern world. The nations do not see his Divine hand in guiding national destinies because they have abandoned the Bible. However, those of you who know the truth about what is happening in the modern world should have your faith strengthened by these events, and you should realize with gladness that “when you see these things come to pass…your redemption draws near” (as is stated in another “latter day” prophecy in Luke 21:28).
