As I’m sure many readers realize, the western and eastern powers have concluded a new agreement with Iran that allows Iran to continue with its atomic enrichment program while relaxing economic sanctions against Iran. If this is the substance of the agreement, it appears that the spirit of Neville Chamberlain was active in the delegations from the USA, the UK, Germany and France as this is a “win-win” agreement for Iran and “lose-lose” for the West as well as for the Israelis, the Saudis and other nations in the Mideast. It is a striking victory for the eastern powers of Russia, China and Iran, identified in the Bible as the Gog-Magog alliance in Ezekiel 38-39. I wonder why the West agreed to such a bad deal? Perhaps it is a result of secret pressure placed on the western powers by Russia and China, Iran’s backers and allies. Europe is now going into winter and many European nations are dependent on energy supplies from Russia to heat their homes. China is the USA’s biggest creditor and this gives it immense power to leverage American foreign policy. Perhaps Russia and China used these facts to gain an advantageous agreement for their ally, Iran. Of course, no matter what Iran agreed to, it is free to lie and break any deal with help from Russia, China, North Korea, etc. by hiding more uranium enrichment facilities in new underground locations of which the West is unaware.
Obviously, the Israelis, Saudis and other nations in the Mideast who are threatened by Iran were not consulted about the deal, and they are not pleased. Did the deal require Iran to publicly have its head-of-state withdraw its determination to “wipe Israel off the map?” Apparently not. The Iranians were granted concessions while that stated (and murderous) Iranian plan is still a matter of their state policy. I’ve seen cable-TV news reports today indicating that many on both sides of the aisle in the US Congress were also not pleased with Obama’s agreement with Iran.
The Israeli Prime Minister reacted very negatively to the deal, calling it an “historic mistake.” Indeed, CNN described the Israeli reaction to the agreement as “fierce” in its criticism (see first link). Many such links can be found on the Internet. The Israelis were joined by the Saudis who also intensely criticized the agreement. The second link cites an interview with a prominent Saudi royal prince as saying “there is no confidence in the Obama administration doing the right thing with Iran.” It adds that the Saudi prince included Israel, Saudi Arabia and other Mideast nations as being “really concerned’ about this new agreement. The interview with this Saudi royal is in the second link. One can find internet links stating the Saudi prince didn’t really include the Israelis and Saudis as linked together in their Mideast policies, but it is very clear their fear of Iran and their anger at Obama is mutual.
In a report that came out just before the Iranian agreement was reached, it was reported that the Israelis and Saudis were already planning a joint military operation against Iran’s nuclear facilities (third link). The fourth link, written after the agreement was announced, states the Israelis have already visited Saudi air bases to prepare for a military strike vs. Iran and that Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar and “other Arab and Persian Gulf countries” were part of the same planning effort. The fifth link reports that Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Israel are already coordinating their intelligence services to present a united front against Iran. That is consistent with links I have cited over perhaps the last two years that these nations plus Egypt were already having their intelligence chiefs meet regularly to coordinate a joint anti-Iranian effort. Obama threw Egypt’s Mubarak “under the bus,” helping the Muslim Brotherhood take power in Egypt and end Egyptian cooperation in that effort (a huge triumph for Iran). However, the Egyptian military deposed Muhammad Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood leader who was making himself a dictator after winning the election. The Egyptian military has moved very decisively to make sure the Islamic radicals in the Muslim Brotherhood do not take power in Egypt again. This action has likely moved Sunni Egypt back into position as a Saudi ally vs. Shiite Iran.
It is evident that neither the Israelis nor the Saudis trust Obama any longer to look out for their national interests. Events are relentlessly moving them (as well as additional Islamic Sunni Mideast nations) into a common alliance vs. Iran. The establishment press will present the new agreement with the Iranians as promoting world peace. In my view, it does exactly the opposite. It may force the Israelis, Saudis and other Sunni nations into a new alliance against Iran, and this new alliance may have to take military action to stop Iran from obtaining any nuclear weapons. If Obama tries to stop them by actually using American military assets to stop or hinder an attack vs. Iran, the American people would be infuriated and Obama would likely be impeached by both Republicans and Democrats in a very pro-Israeli Congress and removed from office.
These developments are re-drawing the Mideast map in terms of global and regional alliances. The Mideast’s developments are entirely consistent with the prophesied alliances in Ezekiel 38 for the latter days. In Ezekiel 38:2-6, the nations prophesied to be in the latter-day Gog-Magog alliance are listed. Importantly, not one nation descended from Abraham is listed in that alliance. The Sunni Arab nations are the modern descendants of Ishmael, a son of Abraham, so recent events are strongly indicating that these nations will not be in the final Gog-Magog alliance. On the other hand, Shiite Iran (“Persia”) is specifically prophesied to be an ally of Russia, China and the other nations in the Gog-Magog alliance. One can see that the hand of a Divine Creator God is guiding world events to make sure that his biblical prophecies get fulfilled.
