No doubt, many readers have heard about the “Arab boycott” of Israel which was in effect for many years. What many may not realize now is that this boycott barely exists at all any more. These two links document that business between the Israelis and the Sunni Arab nations is booming. There still has to be an element of downplaying it and working through intermediary nations or companies, but the business is substantial and expanding. The first link examines how business between Israel, on one hand, the Saudis and their Gulf State allies, on the other hand, is blooming. The second link goes into great detail regarding the specifics of how this trade is transacted, who is facilitating it, and how widespread it is. When you read these links, you will also see evidence that business ties are drawing Turkey and Israel back into a positive relationship.
In these articles, the question is posed re: whether these largely-unpublicized and extensive business ties will soon result in open political ties as well. As long-time readers know, I’ve been following the warming of ties between Israel and the Sunni Arab nations for years. My writings have cited Ezekiel 38’s prophecy as a basis for my belief that these ties would steadily increase and could result in an open alliance at some point in the future. The Israeli nation is identified as “Judah” in biblical prophecies [those who wish to see documentation re: this linkage are invited to read my article, Four Reasons the Jews are Judah], and Judah was just one of the twelve tribes of Israel that descended from the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The modern Arabs are the descendants of Ishmael, who was descended from the patriarch Abraham via his son, Ishmael (Genesis 16:15-16), and Ishmael was destined to grow into a people with twelve princes (or tribes) of their own (Genesis 17:20-21). This means that the Arabs and the Jews are distantly related to each other as common descendants of Abraham. Abraham has many other nations in the modern world that are descended from him via the other tribes of the Israelites (Genesis 48-49), the Edomites (Genesis 36), the sons of Keturah (Genesis 25:1-4) and the sons of his concubines (Genesis 25:6); however those descendants are not the subject of this post. Abraham was promised to be the father of “many nations” in the world (Genesis 17:1-7), and that promise has come to pass. The modern nations descended from Abraham via Judah and Ishmael are fewer than the nations descended from Abraham via the other lineage mentioned above. The main point is that in listing the nations that will be part of the Gog-Magog alliance of Ezekiel 38-39, none of the modern nations descended from Abraham are listed as being members of that alliance–which includes Russia, China and Iran. This argues that all the nations descended from Abraham will be members of the rival alliance in Ezekiel 38-39 which will be headed by the “house of Israel” (the ten tribes of Israel). These nations are identified in my books, in my free audio messages at my website and a glimpse of their identity in the modern world can be examined in my article, The USA in Bible Prophecy.
Now back to the Arab-Israeli relationship. Their growing ties and budding alliance is being hastened in the modern world by their both being mutually (and increasingly) threatened by Iran’s growing military power and bellicose policies. Iran is threatening Israel and the Sunni Arab nations by Iran’s role in Syria, its backing and arming of Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria, its backing of the Houthis in the Yemenite civil war, and its dominance of the central government of Iraq. Iran is encircling Saudi Arabia and the Sunni Arab nations, intending to dominate them. Iran also threatens to “wipe Israel off the map.” Therefore, the Sunni Arabs and the Israelis have a great many reasons to find allies in each other. They are both far, far stronger and more secure as allies instead of rivals. These links document that Arab-Israeli ties are growing and may come into the open soon. While this is hugely beneficial to the Israelis and Sunni Arab nations, it leaves the Palestinians with shrinking support for their “two state solution” goal as the Palestinians’ dreams are now a far lower priority to the Sunni Arab nations than the national survival of those Sunni Arab nations. There may yet be a Palestinian state of some kind, but its size is likely to be much smaller than if they had come to an agreement with Israel years ago.
This trend bears watching as the future unfolds before us, and this trend affirms the accuracy of biblical prophecy in Ezekiel 38-39.
