The first link from the Wall Street Journal illustrates how pervasively the US federal government has been trying to seize almost unlimited power under the Obama administration. The article documents several cases that were decided before the US Supreme Court where even the liberal justices joined the conservative justices in ruling unanimously against the Obama administration’s weak legal arguments for their heavy-handed actions and rulings. I was unaware of these cases as they were given no publicity in the media sources that I monitor. However, I think that this article is worthy to bring before all readers of this blog for their consideration.

All of these cases make it evident that the Obama administration has little regard for the US Constitution in its actions. Its actions have been so in favor of wildly-excessive federal power that even the liberal justices slapped down the nearly-dictatorial power grabs of the federal government under President Obama. One top EPA official in the Obama administration had to resign recently due to his bizarre and tyrannical assertion that he wanted to “crucify” those who disagreed with him (see second link).

While the article did not mention it, there was another Supreme Court case involving civilian gun rights that also affirmed personal liberties under the US Constitution and took the wind out of the sails of those trying to disarm American citizens (see third link). That was a 5-4 ruling by the Supreme Court, but it had a powerful effect on American governments and individuals (lessening the power of the government and increasing the rights of the citizens).

There are two more cases currently before the US Supreme Court which will indicate if the Court continues to act as a protector of the Constitution against the excessive power-grabs of the US federal government. Those cases involve “Obamacare” as well as an Arizona law seeking to limit illegal immigration. Commentators on the oral arguments before the Supreme Court on these issues seem to favor an opinion that the Court will strike down the more dictatorial power grabs in Obamacare as well as the rather bizarre effort by the federal government to stop states from enforcing valid immigration laws. However, no one can predict the Court’s rulings, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Verdicts are expected as soon as next month.

Also gaining more media traction is the “Fast and Furious” program of the Obama administration’s Justice Department and ATF office in which the federal government let guns “walk” to Mexican drug gangs and this action resulted in at least one death of a US agent. This bizarre program put the US Justice Department and the ATF in a position where they were actually arming the drug cartels in a way where they did not expect the US public would ever find out about it. Patriotic whistle-blowers within the ATF reportedly alerted Congress to this program, and a TV interview I saw today on Fox News with Congressman Darrel Issa (R-CA) had Rep. Issa accusing the Obama administration of a “cover-up” on the issue. US Attorney General Holder does appear to be stone-walling Congress to try to prevent the truth of this matter from being made public. The fourth link details more about this case and the fifth link adds that a former US Attorney General under President Bush, Alberto Gonzalez, is calling for Congress to investigate Eric Holder and the Fast and Furious case more vigorously. While there is a lot that has not yet been made public about this botched government program, I’d bet that there is a lot of thinking among US conservatives that the real motive for “Fast and Furious” was to arrange a situation which would aid gun control efforts by the Obama administration.

Revelation 13 and 17 warn that in the last 42 months of the prophetic “latter day” period in which we now live, a global political system will seize power which will be very dictatorial and controlling in monetary/economic matters (Revelation 13:16-17). Revelation 13:15 even prophesies this “beast” power will kill those who do not “worship” the beast system’s leader. I do not want to imply that everything the US federal government does is wrong as that is not the case, but the above-cited actions by the federal government to seize power do document a growing tendency in the current US government to seek nearly-dictatorial powers over the people and trample Constitutional rights.

However, God’s people and those who do not “worship” the Beast system will not be defenseless in the latter-days. Revelation 11 prophesies that God will send two prophets called the Two Witnesses who will have Divinely-delegated powers to plague the earth with plagues as often as they wish during a ministry of 1,260 days which will substantially overlap the reign of the beast system. Revelation 16 strongly infers that the Two Witnesses will be pouring out some very severe plagues directly on the beast system’s leader and his officials (verse 10). These Two Witnesses will be modern parallels to the work of Moses and Aaron plaguing Egypt in behalf of God’s people and that of Elijah and Elisha who were sent to the ancient kingdom of Israel to attempt to move the ancient ten tribes of Israel to repent of their sins. My books and audio messages clearly show that the USA, the UK, many NATO and European nations are the modern descendants of the ancient ten tribes of Israel so the parallel of the Two Witnesses to Elijah and Elisha is particularly appropriate for the times ahead of us.

For an in-depth examination of all biblical prophecies about the Two Witnesses (there are more than just those in Revelation 11), I urge you to read my article, The Two Witnesses. If you live to see it, their ministry will have a huge effect on your life, so you should be aware of the biblical prophecies about them in advance. Knowing those prophecies will enable you to tell “the good guys” from “the bad guys” in the years ahead of us when even Jesus Christ warned that the global deceptions would become so pervasive that even the “very elect” would be deceived “if it were possible.”
