China is continuing to grow ever more aggressively bellicose against its Pacific Rim neighbor nations. The first link, at a private subscription website, gives information that China (through a provincial maritime provincial government) claimed the right to prevent all foreign shipping from entering the South China Sea and even board vessels. This was tantamount to an act of war against many nations by China.
After a firestorm of criticism, China backed off the declaration somewhat as detailed in the second link. Nevertheless, this represents a further power grab by China for control of a large portion of what has traditionally been international waters with freedom of passage for all maritime vessels. The links indicate that Vietnam was the primary target for this Chinese action, and the third link reports Vietnam is very angry at China over what has transpired recently between China and Vietnam.
The links also indicate that nations which do not claim sovereign rights over any part of the South China Sea, but have significant interests in the right of free passage for their ships, India and the USA, are also concerned about China’s latest rogue action. The Philippines and Singapore are also cited as having growing concerns about this Chinese claim. If China’s warlike declarations continue, such nations as India and Japan may have to provide warships to escort their merchant vessels via the South China Sea. Clearly, a major geopolitical crisis seems to be in the offing in this strategic Asian region.
If China continues to claim the entire South China Sea as its own, and it takes additional actions to assert that claim, hostile action would seem to be only a matter of time away. China’s actions may seem a bizarre example of overreach, but I don’t think China does anything without careful calculation. In a previous post at this site, I opined that China may be deliberately asserting what it knows is a ridiculous claim because it wants a limited regional war in which US carriers are lured to the region to oppose China’s actions. This would give China a chance to test its latest anti-carrier weaponry against an actual US aircraft carrier. If so, this will indicate to China (as well as Russia and Iran) whether the USA has an effective means of defending its carriers against simultaneous attacks by ballistic missiles, supersonic cruise missiles and the latest torpedo technology. If a US aircraft carrier is sunk, one can expect Russia, China and Iran to become a lot bolder against the USA on a global scale and the biblically prophesied Gog-Magog attack in Ezekiel 38-39 against the USA and the West to be placed on an accelerated timetable.
This latest action by China is forcing the other nations of the Pacific Rim to set aside their historic differences and unite in a common front against China. This is also further confirming the accuracy of the Ezekiel 38 prophecy in which verse 13 prophesies a specific Asian alliance will not be part of the Gog-Magog alliance. I have long identified the nations listed in verse 13 by their ancient names as the modern nations of Japan, India, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and more recently, Vietnam. Continuing world events are steadily indicating my identifications are correct. Indeed, the last link, from the Council on Foreign Relations, strongly encourages South Korea and Japan to put aside their differences and form an alliance against North Korea and China.
For more information why I identify the aforementioned Asian nations as the Asian alliance prophesied in Ezekiel 38:13, I invite you to read my articles, What Ezekiel 38 Reveals about a Future World War III, and Japan’s Role in the Latter Days, both available for free at this website. The analysis in these articles is looking ever-more accurate as world events progress deeper into the latter day biblical prophetic sequence. The amazingly accurate prophetic fulfillments of biblical prophecies in our current time period further confirm that only a Divine Creator God, with the ability to foresee and control world events, could have written the Bible for its prophecies to be so accurate millennia after they were authored.
