I recently read your series on the history of the tribes  of Israel.  I thoroughly enjoyed them and learned so much!  Thank you for
all your hard work and research.
I am a 6th grade teacher and we study ancient civilizations.  I was
wondering if you know anything about the Minoans and/or Mycenaeans?  If
you can recommend any resources I would appreciate it.  Thank you.

MyComments

Merry,

One of the sources cited in my books on Israelite history (Before Columbus by Dr. Cyrus Gordon) has some references to the Minoans and the Mycenaeans. However, Dr. Gordon has written a number of books on the Minoan civilization and language. You could check out his books: Ugarit and Minoan Crete, Evidence for the Minoan Language and Forgotten Scripts: How They Were Deciphered and Their Impact on Contemporary Culture. Many books exist on the subject of ancient Greek history, and some of them will include discussions of the ancient Mycenaeans. You should have no problem locating books on the Minoans and Mycenaeans in any large library. My books did not include an examination of the Minoans and Mycenaeans, so I cannot be more specific that this in my suggestion.
