Russia Eyes Stronger Partnership With China

Moscow (CNSNews.com) - Russia has renewed its pledge to build its strategic partnership with China, in a thinly veiled attempt to oppose what Moscow views as American unilateralism.
President Vladimir Putin told visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao Monday that the positions of both countries on Iran and North Korea “either coincide or are similar.”In response, Hu, whose three-day state visit to Russia ends Wednesday, hailed what he described as “strategic cooperation between China and Russia, permanent members of the U.N. Security Council.” The neighbors, who share a 2,700-mile border, signed a joint statement pledging to cooperate on a variety of issues. In an apparent rebuff to Washington’s Iranian policy, Hu and Putin said the issue of Tehran’s nuclear ambitions “should be resolved exclusively through peaceful means and negotiations.” (Similarly, the North Korean nuclear weapons issue should be resolved “through a peaceful, diplomatic way.”)“[We] believe that Iran … has the right to explore peaceful nuclear energy while adhering to all its obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty,” the joint China-Russia declaration said.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry reiterated in a statement Tuesday that Moscow believed the setting of ultimatums for Iranian compliance was doomed to fail.

At the same time, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told journalists in Moscow that Russia expects Tehran to listen to signals by the international community and respond adequately to the latest Security Council resolution.

Moscow and Beijing also moved to cement their partnership with economic agreements, with companies from the two countries signing some 20 agreements totaling $4.3 billion. Russia and China vowed to boost cooperation in the oil, gas and power sectors.

Moscow has prioritized China’s lucrative energy market in its energy policy, and has been building a $12 billion pipeline from East Siberia to the Pacific to pump supplies to China and Japan.

The China-bound pipelines for oil and gas are seen as a political expedient for the Kremlin, designed to send a message to European consumers that if they do not like Russia’s sales terms, Russia can simply redirect its energy exports eastwards.

In 2006, Russia’s trade with China reached some $30 billion or 15 percent up year-on-year. Moscow views high growth rates in Russia-China commerce as an important indicator of the state of bilateral partnership.

This article on increasing Russian-Chinese strategic cooperation fits perfectly with the fulfillment of the biblical prophecy found in Ezekiel 38. Ezekiel 38 foretold millennia ago that in the “latter days” of this age, ancient peoples who have become the modern nations of Russia, China, Iran and others will assemble a strategic alliance which will eventually launch a “Pearl Harbor-type” surprise attack upon the latter-day nations which have descended from the supposedly “lost” ten tribes of Israel. As my books document in great detail, the migrating peoples of the ten tribes of Israel were never lost and were prophesied in Hosea 1 to become innumerably large nations after they were sent into exile. The Israelite kingdoms and empires have been, conveniently, omitted or downplayed in history text books. However, ancient Jewish and classical Roman and Greek writers preserved enough information to easily identify the migrating Israelites in ancient history. While people widely acknowledge that the modern Jews/Israelis are the Israelite tribe of Judah, they are unaware that the modern descendants of the ten tribes of Israel now dominate and lead the Western world and the NATO military alliance.

The article mentions a Russian energy pipeline which would transit China and deliver energy supplies to China and Japan. This is likely a strategic move to dupe Japan into becoming as dependent on Russian energy as many European nations already are. Russia is seeking to obtain an energy stranglehold over as many Western nations as possible as part of its joint strategic plan with China and Iran to ultimately defeat the capitalist Western nations. Unfortunately, the citizens of the Western nations are caught up in a mindless pursuit of pleasures and consumerism. They are oblivious to the dangers foretold in Ezekiel 38.

This story confirms that Russia and China are cooperating in an ever-closer strategic partnership which is fueled by anti-American and anti-Western sentiments. Russia has supplied Iran with its nuclear reactor facilities and Russia and China defend Iran from being the target of any severe UN actions. This article notes that Russia and China are joining to protect both Iran and North Korea. Ezekiel 38 foretells that many other nations will also join the Russian-Chinese-Iranian alliance in the latter days. The book of Revelation calls this same alliance the “kings of the east” in Revelation 16:12. The prophesied World War between the Russian-Chinese-Iranian axis and the nations of the West and NATO ushers in the end of this age and triggers the return of Jesus Christ to keep mankind from destroying itself (Matthew 24:21-22). For much more detailed information on this prophesied war, see my article “Ezekiel 38-39 and World War III” at the “Prophecy” link at the articles section at this website.
