As biblical students realize, the ten tribes were mostly relocated into Asian locations although my books document some Israelites escaped to the British Isles and others to their African colony of Kirjath Hadeshath—which the Roman later called Carthage.

In a little-noticed prophecy, Isaiah 14:2 contains a prophecy that the exiled Israelites would eventually rule over the empires and kingdoms that took them or held them as captives. That happened when the Parthians (a large section of the ten tribes of Israel) conquered and ruled over the Assyrians, the Babylonians and the Medo-Persians, three empires that II Kings 15:27-29, 17:6, and the books of Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther describe as holding the Israelite tribes in captivity.

After the Persian Empire fell, the Israelite tribes came under the dominance of the Seleucid Greek Empire. In the 3rd century BC, the Israelite tribes revolted against the Seleucids and began to establish the Parthian Empire, which ruled over much of Mesopotamia and south-central Asia for almost a half-millennium. During the Parthian period, the Parthians had time to develop a scientific knowledge of their own. Their priestly tribe, the Magi, held many secrets that were known only to them. The Magi and Wise Men of Parthia were the nobility of Parthia that brought gold, frankincense and myrrh to the Christ-child (Matthew 2). Now lets skip forward in time a bit. After the vast Parthian Empire fell, its refugees fled through the Caucasus Mountains into Europe in a human tidal wave, eventually inundating the Roman Empire. These migrating descendants of the Parthians became known as Goths, Saxons, Franks, Germans, etc. (see my book, Israel’s Tribes Today). In the Middle Ages, the scholars of Europe developed the pursuit of alchemy, an effort to turn base metals into gold. It was in their ancestral memory that such a thing had once been done, but they were never able to duplicate the ancient skill. Now let’s go back to the Parthians.

The Parthians (are you ready for this?) mass-produced DC electrical batteries during their reign in Asia (about 16 centuries ahead of Thomas Edison). Many of them were found centuries later in the city of Seleucia, a city within the Parthian empire. Asian scholars were well-aware of these Parthian batteries, and articles from the Journal of Near Eastern Studies and Nexus magazine were devoted to an analysis of these Parthian batteries (they are cited in my books). American viewers of some cable-TV shows have seen these batteries discussed on programs about ancient aliens, but no aliens produced these batteries. They were produced right here on planet earth by precocious ancient Israelite inventors in the Parthian empire. As discussed in my book, Parthia: The Forgotten Ancient Superpower, it is my view that the Parthian Magi connected these DC batteries in series to boost the current and then gold-plated base metal objects to look like gold objects via the use of electrolysis. This would have astounded ancient kings and nobilities alike, and it would have made the Magi famous throughout the Parthian Empire (and all Asia). The Magi would have never revealed that the secret to the entire process was their invention of electricity. Everyone thought it was “magic,” and our modern English word, “magic,” is derived from the ancient Persian/Parthian word for the “Magi.”

When the Parthian Empire collapsed and their descendants centuries later settled into the medieval European nations in their new homelands, their scholars retained the knowledge that their ancestors had once been able “to turn base metals into gold objects.” However, Europe’s alchemists were never able to duplicate the process as they were never able to understand or re-invent the critical catalyst of electricity.

Of course, the ancient Parthian Magi were never actually able to magically turn base metals into gold. They gave the impression they had done so by uniformly gold-plating base metals with a thin gold exterior coating via electrolysis by placing the base metal objects in a gold solution bath infused with electricity. So now the truth can be known about why the European alchemists’ efforts were always futile. This informational vignette is but one of the many ancient secrets revealed and explained in my series of books on the history of the migrating ten tribes of Israel after their exile from the ancient Promised Land in the 8th century BC. The head of the Islamic Labor Party, not realizing he had a “hot” microphone in front of him, openly called the USA an “enemy” during a meeting which mostly discussed a different issue: a dam on the upper Nile which could affect the flow of water to Egypt along the Nile River. I also saw this same incident mentioned on the BBC-TV news which airs on many American PBS TV outlets.

This very anti-American outburst by an Egyptian leader shows how deep the anti-American sentiment runs in the inner circle of the Egyptian government headed by the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohammed Morsi. Israel was called an “enemy” nation in this outburst as well.

Hmm. Iran has long called the USA the “Great Satan” and the Israelis the “Little Satan.” Now an Egyptian leader close to Egypt’s head of state calls the USA and Israel its enemies too. It seems that the Islamist leaders of Egypt are beginning to increasingly voice the sentiments of Iran. This post is a worthwhile follow-up to the previous posting on Egypt and Turkey.

No wonder travel websites are warning that travel to Egypt is now quite dangerous (see previous post).

In each nation, the Islamist governments are in trouble as the general populace rises in anger against them. In Turkey, there have been popular demonstrations which have grown steadily over at least ten days and have spread to 78 Turkish cities. The clashes between government police and the demonstrators have become more violent with 4,300 injuries reported (see first link). This Washington Post article also opines that Prime Minister Recep Erdogan could “inflame tensions” further as he adopts a more bellicose approach to the demonstrators. The Post article cites the main reasons for the demonstrations as a reaction to Erdogan’s “authoritarian ways” and his efforts to impose aspects of Islamicist law on Turkey’s longstanding secular Islamic national lifestyles.

The second link is noteworthy as it reports members of (and high elected officials within) Erdogan’s own political party are now joining the demonstrations against him or speaking against his policies. If this trend continues, Erdogan’s power base will erode further.

The third link reports that some of Erdogan’s Islamist policies that sparked off the popular uprising against him was his plan to place “far-reaching restrictions against alcohol” and his public statement that Turkish “women should have at least three children.” I wonder how Erdogan’s authoritarian policies would enforce that last goal of his?

Turkey is located in a strategically-important location that bridges Asia and Europe and is also important as a member of NATO. However, the more Islamist and authoritarian Erdogan’s policies become, the more it appears that he is leaving the democratic traditions of the NATO nations and also abandoning Turkey’s long-time devotion to the policies of Kemal Ataturk (after whom the nation of Turkey is named) that Turkey should remain a secular Islamic nation. This is a remarkable development as Turkey’s secular Moslems are rising against a leader who wants to take them in a direction that is Islamist and which could eventually result in Sharia law being imposed in Turkey. The national demonstrations show vast throngs of Turks want none of Erdogan’s vision for an Islamist Turkey.

The fourth link deals with current conditions in Egypt. Conditions for average Egyptians have grown steadily worse since the election of an Islamist leader who wants to impose the Islamic fundamentalism of his Muslim Brotherhood party on the nation. The article reports the popularity of President Mohammad Morsi has reached an all-time low as economic conditions worsen for Egyptians. Importantly, it also reports that “Egypt’s highest court ruled… [recently] that the Islamist-dominated legislature and constitutional panel were illegally elected.” That ruling will put more pressure on the Egyptian military’s loyalties, even though that fact is not cited in the article.

The fifth link reports that Egypt’s internal situation has deteriorated so badly that Egypt is now one of the most dangerous places on earth to which tourists could travel. This news will spread widely throughout the world, and this can only make the Egyptian people suffer even more under the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood party. Many Egyptians are desperate for tourists’ money to survive. When enough Egyptian people cannot feed their families, they will likely revolt against their Islamist leader.

From a biblical perspective, neither Egypt nor Turkey (“Edom”) are mentioned as being in the Gog-Magog alliance now centered around Russia, China and Iran. Both were important ancient nations and are very important Mideast nations today. That the Bible did not predict their inclusion in the latter-day Gog-Magog alliance argues that both nations will ultimately not be allies of Russia, China or Iran at the end of this age (see my article What Ezekiel 38-39 Reveals about a Future World War III [PDF] if you desire more detailed information).

The northern counties are strong gun-rights counties and are deeply disturbed by recent actions of the Colorado legislature. The first link shows which eight contiguous counties are currently part of this movement. It is possible that other rural Colorado counties will want to join the secession movement.

The chances of these counties forming their own state are slim as the first link and second link explain the legal and Constitutional hurdles to such an action. However, the fact that these counties are taking this action speaks volumes about the fractures that are developing not just within the state of Colorado but within the overall USA itself. There have been five successful efforts in US history for states to be split into two separate states with the most recent such effort being the division of Virginia into two states during the civil war. Since the prospective state of North Colorado would be very conservative, it is a safe bet it would send two GOP senators to the US Senate if it became a state. Such an action is not likely to be approved in the Democratic-controlled Senate unless the GOP takes the Senate in the 2014 elections.

It is no secret that the US population is deeply divided on such issues as abortion, gun rights, homosexual issues, etc. The US Constitution is the founding document that all groups must submit to in their deliberations and actions. On the gun rights issue, the US Constitution is squarely on the side of gun-owners and the US Supreme Court not long ago issued a ruling that firmly asserted that individuals, not just militias, have the right to own and bear arms. The issue of what restrictions states can put on that Constitutional right will be the subject of federal court cases for some time I am sure.

Abortion and homosexual issues are not mentioned at all in the Constitution so they are not among the enumerated powers that belong to the jurisdiction of the federal government. In these cases, the Constitution’s Tenth Amendment clearly gives the rights to make laws on these topics to the states themselves. The Roe v. Wade ruling made a joke of the Constitution as it should have been an open-and-shut case that the federal government has no right to impose anything on this subject on the states as it has no enumerated powers given to it to even consider this subject. Each state should be free to enact and enforce any rules or restrictions it wants on the subject of abortion. The same holds true for homosexual rights laws. Under the Tenth Amendment, each state is able to permit or deny homosexual activities to whatever extent their respective legislatures wish to do. The Tenth Amendment gives to the states far greater powers vis à vis the federal government than they have realized. It is noteworthy that while the Supreme Court is giving the states their Tenth Amendment rights to make their own laws on homosexual issues as they see fit, the same Court is denying the states to make their own laws on the issue of abortion. There should be Constitutional consistency on both issues, and the Supreme Court has been applying a hypocritical double-standard on these two issues ever since Roe v. Wade.

Some states and groups are waking up to their tenth Amendment powers. The third link reports many county sheriffs across America are opposing the Obama administration’s efforts to enact new gun control measures, and the fourth link reports the Alabama Senate voted to nullify new federal gun laws. Missouri’s entire Legislature overwhelmingly passed a law nullifying federal gun laws (see fifth link). However, liberal states are discovering the Tenth Amendment too. Connecticut has passed a bill requiring the labeling of genetically-modified foods, but its implementation depends on other adjacent states doing the same (see sixth link).

The USA is developing deep fractures within its body politic. The recent growing scandals about the Obama administration’s spying on virtually everyone (including the liberal media) have intensified this trend. I’m not sure where this fits in biblical prophecy, but these instabilities and deepening fissures within the USA have ominous implications for America’s future. These trends are likely to intensify and the outcomes may surprise us all.

The term “Saka” preserved the Israelite name of “Isaac” which Genesis 21:12 promised would follow the descendants of Abraham and Isaac throughout history. The New Testament affirms this promise in both Romans 9:7 and Hebrews 11:18. The Saka and Scythian peoples were located in southern Asia and were fellow Israelite tribes to the Parthians who reigned in South-Central Asia for almost a half-millennium. These Israelite Scythians were generally called the Sacae by the Greeks and the Saka by the Persians.

This Saka tomb dates to approximately the 4th or 3rd century BC which would be during the time when the Scythian/Saka kingdoms were still very powerful. This link connects the burial of this Saka princess to the famous Scythian warrior-queen Tomiris (often spelled Tomyris) whose Scythian army destroyed the great army of the famous Persian king, Cyrus the Great. As I point out in my book, Israel’s Lost Empires, Queen Tomyris’ name is a Hellenized version of the distinctly and famously Israelite name of Tamar, who was an Israelite princess, the daughter of King David (II Samuel 13:1). One of King David’s granddaughters also was named Tamar (II Samuel 14:27). This fact strongly indicates that the Scythians were being ruled by a descendant of the royal house of King David. This fulfilled God’s promise to David that his descendants would rule in the future over the nations of the ten tribes of Israel (Jeremiah 33:17).

The Greeks recorded a great deal of information about the titanic war between the empires of the Scythian Queen Tomyris and the Persian King Cyrus the Great, and that information is contained in my aforementioned book. It is noteworthy that although the Scythians crushed the Persian army and killed Cyrus the Great, the history books record a great deal of information about the losers in this war (the Persians) and little or nothing about the winners (the Scythians)—who were descended from the ten tribes of Israel and bore Israelite/Semitic names. As many Sci-Fi fans know, the term “warp drive” was used in the Star Trek series to describe a faster-than-light speed capability for the star-ships in that series. I think the Star Wars movies called it “hyper-drive,” and the Battlestar Galactica series called it an “FTL drive.”

The article is not about some crack-pot theorist. It is about the very-serious efforts of a NASA scientist to develop this capability and the effort is being “funded by DARPA.” DARPA is the super-secret US agency which funds and develops secret weapons and cutting-edge technological capabilities. This article indicates DARPA sees merit in this effort or it wouldn’t be funding it.

Warp-speed capability will never be attained via any combustion-type rocket engines that nations use today to launch satellites or what the USA used to send astronauts to the moon. An entirely new form of propulsion is necessary. As the article explains, the theoretical key to traveling faster than the speed of light is developing the ability to create some kind of “bubble” in space-time through which a space vehicle would be propelled through space-time at a rate faster than any vehicle could travel in normal space-time. You will have to read the article to get a technical description of how this type of “bubble” could be generated, but, if developed, it is reported that it would make it possible to travel to the nearest star outside our solar system “in two weeks.”

The stated goal is to develop this type of capability “within the next 100 years.” The military implications of such a development are incalculable. Any nation that developed this type of technology would rule the other nations. The article indicates that progress in attaining this goal is just in the beginning stages. However…

It is also true that the true state of development that NASA/DARPA have attained in this field would never be revealed to the public in any article. If you have watched any of the numerous cable-TV programs about UFOs, ancient aliens, etc., there are abundant examples of UFOs being photographed which suddenly shoot away at a speed so great that they virtually “disappear” instantaneously. Are they leaving at warp-speed? I’ve long been convinced that some UFOs are secret military space vehicles being developed by the USA and, perhaps, other nations. It is possible that some of the instantly disappearing UFOs are not actually taking off at warp speed, but are merely going invisible via the use of an invisibility “cloaking” technology being engaged around the craft. Invisibility technology is already being developed and scientific articles have acknowledged successes at developing this technology already via the bending of light waves around an object to make it “disappear” to any viewer. There are a number of posts in this blog’s archives on the topic of invisibility technology and how this technology could fulfill a variety of latter-day prophecies.

I’m going to share something I’ve never put in print re: UFOs. My father, before he died years ago, told me of an account given to him by a friend of his before his death. This is, therefore, a second-hand account and you can reject or believe it. I believe it. His friend was a truck-driver for years and was driving through an uninhabited, remote area of the USA. He was driving at night without any lights on due to an electrical problem. As he was driving, he saw ahead of him a mountain-side open up and two aerial flying objects (UFOs) quickly flew out of it. The aperture quickly closed, giving the impression of a barren landscape on the mountains-side. This event happened “decades ago” according to the individual (who is also now dead). He pulled his truck to the side of the road and then drove past the particular mountainside at least a half-hour later with his lights on so no one at the site would realize he had witnessed what had occurred. I won’t reveal what American state in which this reportedly occurred. If true, it means the USA has had aerial weapons systems far beyond the capability of normal warplanes for some time. The existence of such advanced weaponry is consistent with Revelation 13:4′s prophecy that when the “beast” power of Revelation is revealed, the nations will say “who is able to make war with him?” In other words, the beast system will unveil such advanced weapons systems that the nations will be cowed into submitting to the new beast authority. I think these technologies already exist.

Let’s consider biblical possibilities on the subject of warp drive. Genesis 11:6 has a statement by God himself that mankind can reach a tipping point of technological development where it is on the verge of literally doing anything “which they have imaged to do” (KJV). This account cites God making this observation at a time just several generations after the deluge of Noah’s time. The standard viewpoint that mankind was then building a tall ziggurat at the tower of Babel is not at all credible. God couldn’t care less about how tall mankind wants to make its buildings and any ancient mud-brick tower would have collapsed of its own weight before it got very high without rebar and reinforced concrete. The “tower of Babel” was something so technologically advanced that God felt the need to take radical action: to confuse all the languages of mankind so they could not possibly cooperate in completing the project. Obviously, none of the new languages included the ability to speak or read the pre-Flood language which contained all the pre-Flood technological secrets that post-Flood mankind was then in the process of rebuilding. This action by God made all mankind illiterate in an instant as God gave them new phonetic languages but no written languages to go with them. This led to the nations developing all kinds of new systems over the next few centuries to express their new languages in written forms, leading modern mankind to wrongly assume that mankind had never previously had a written language prior to the development of the writing systems of ancient civilizations that gradually morphed into today’s languages over time. However, I’ll give you a “teaser.”

Moses, the author of Genesis, tried to relate high-tech concepts in low-tech language (as did the apostle John in the book of Revelation). Genesis 11:1-5 states that at Babel mankind was building a “tower” (a tall, erect structure) whose “top” (the Hebrew word is “rosh“, meaning “head”) would reach “unto heaven.” Notice Genesis didn’t state the entire tower would go into the heavens, only the head or top portion of this tower would reach into the heavens. Do we today have “towers” whose top portions (nose cones) reach unto the heavens? Yes we do. They are rockets with astronauts or satellites in the nose cones or “head” portion of our “towers” (rockets) that are shot into the heavens. Now consider that Jesus Christ prophesied that the latter days of our current age on earth prior to his Second Coming would be a mirror image of the pre-Flood world (Matthew 24:37). Add to that the prophecy in Daniel 12:4 that in the latter days, “knowledge shall be increased.” The Hebrew word for “increased” is the same one used to describe how the waters “increased” on the face of the earth during the deluge of Noah in Genesis 7:17. In other words, this meant the latter days would see an exponential, not incremental increase in knowledge. That prophecy has been fulfilled in our time as knowledge has increased exponentially in the last century or so. If some cryptic writing of Nostradamus had been fulfilled so precisely in our time, it would be proclaimed everywhere. Since the Bible is the source of this precisely fulfilled prophecy, mankind would prefer to ignore it.

Will mankind ever be able to develop a “warp drive” capability? My own view is that mankind does not yet have the ability to travel at warp speed even in its secretly-funded DARPA air/space vehicles. However, given what God said in Genesis 11:6, I believe mankind would eventually be able to travel at warp speed if God allowed time to go on long enough for mankind to develop that capacity. I seriously doubt that God will allow modern mankind enough time to develop that capability, but that is just my opinion. The true state of mankind’s development of warp-drive technology is likely known only to God and DARPA.

The British navy has just built what may be the most advanced submarine ever built by any nation. It is reported to be so sophisticated and capable that it (A) can “see” above the ocean’s surface without any periscope, (B) possesses such powerful sonar that while remaining in British waters, it can detect ships leaving US ports on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, and (C) carries dozens of cruise missiles that can hit targets 1200 miles away. This new British submarine has a sister ship that is also being built. This new British sub is a nuclear-powered vessel that can stay at sea for 25 years without refueling and it is much smaller that a US attack sub so it is less detectable due to its reduced size.

These two links [1, 2] offer detailed descriptions of the capabilities of the new British sub and they feature many photos of the submarine’s exterior size and interior compartments. I’m actually surprised so many photos of its interior compartments were released. I would have thought that the British government would not have released such photos for security reasons. I think all readers will find the articles most interesting.

I’ll offer a few additional observations. If this British sub, appropriately called the HMS Ambush, represents such a technological leap in sonar and other capabilities, it can apparently detect and identify all ships in any ocean that it is patrolling. This feature alone could render all Russian and Chinese submarines obsolete. If the Brits share their technological advances with the Americans, Israelis, etc., it would give the West’s submarine fleet huge advantages over the submarine fleets of the Gog-Magog nations of Russia, China, Iran, etc. I also hope that the British remembered to make sure that all the systems within the HMS Ambush are “hardened” to withstand any EMP weapon. Without that feature this new sub could be useless itself if EMP weapons are used in a future war. It also brings up a point that I’ve never seen discussed. Do the effects of an above-ground EMP weapon blast have any effect on submarines traveling under the ocean’s surface?

Given that the Ezekiel 38 prophecy about the nations in the latter-day Gog-Magog alliance and the nations in the Western alliance led by the modern nations of the ten tribes of Israel has proven to be so accurate, it is evident that each alliance is watching carefully the military capabilities of the other alliance. The Ezekiel 38 prophecy reveals the Gog-Magog alliance will launch a global surprise attack in the future against the western allies, so any weapon system that gives the West a big advantage tends to work to delay the future of this prophesied Gog-Magog attack. For this reason I follow closely the military developments in the world, and I hope the readers of this blog find these posts interesting for the same reason.

It began last month when a Philippine coast guard vessel shot and killed a Taiwanese fisherman. Taiwan reacted angrily and sent a large naval flotilla backed by warplanes to hold military exercises near the Philippines in an obvious warning to the Philippine government not to repeat such bellicose behavior.

Then Communist China jumped into the fray…on the side of Taiwan! China sent “over a dozen” warships of it own into the region where the Taiwanese fisherman was killed and China’s “propaganda machine went into high gear against the Philippines for the fatal shooting of a ‘Chinese compatriot’ from Taiwan.” China further warned the Philippines that any further such attacks would result in Chinese attacks on eight Philippine islands.

This whole episode seems bizarre. Taiwan and the Philippines are natural allies in the Pacific Rim against Chinese militarism, but the Philippine vessel that killed a Taiwanese civilian managed to unite Taiwan and China in common cause against the Philippines! China, no doubt, saw an opening to sow division among China’s natural rivals in the region and it is adroitly exploiting the incident to maximum effect.

This episode is an example of how very odd and complex things can get in international relationships. For that reason alone, I thought it was worth passing on the knowledge of this incident to readers of this blog.

The BBC has reported that Syria’s President Assad has threatened to attack the Israelis in the Golan Heights region if the Israelis implement any more strikes against targets in Syria (see first link). Israeli warplanes have attacked targets in Syria several times already. This threat by Assad is in response to a threat by the Israelis to attack Russian deliveries of their sophisticated S-300 air-defense systems to Syria (see second link).

The 3rd through 5th links [3, 4, 5] discuss whether the Russian S-300 air defense systems have already been delivered and made operational in Syria or whether this advanced weapons systems has not yet been delivered or assembled. The delivery of S-300 air defense systems to Syria (manned by Russian military technicians as discussed in my previous post) means that the threat of a wider war is ratcheting up rapidly. One of these links reports that Hezbollah, Iran’s puppet state in Southern Lebanon, has already sent 7,000 Hezbollah fighters to assist Assad’s troops in their war against the Syrian rebels.

The final link is an article from the May 30th issue of USA Today which examines in depth the dangers of the Syrian civil war turning into a Sunni Moslem vs. Shiite Moslem war in the Mideast. Assad doubtless would like to try and draw Israel into the war in order to unite all Moslems vs. the Israelis, but I doubt his desperate strategy would work. However, if Syria opens up an offensive against the Israelis with its government Sunni troops and Hezbollah fighters, it is hard to see how this would not quickly expand into an Israeli-Hezbollah war as well. Hezbollah has many tens of thousands of rockets of various sizes and ranges aimed at Israeli cities, military bases and other targets. If Hezbollah joins an attack against the Israelis, a wider war is certain. As I’ve warned before, this could get ugly very quickly if Hezbollah’s Islamic sleeper cells are activated and launch attacks against American and European targets in North America and Europe. This is likely one reason why the Obama administration is reluctant to involve the USA in Syria’s internal fighting. I’d be reluctant too if I were president as US forces are worn out from many years of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. The last thing the US ground forces need is another war.

So, if these links are accurate, a wider war could be imminent. Russia sounds determined to install its S-300 air defense systems in Syria (if it has not already done so), and the Israelis are threatening to attack these Russian air-defense systems if they are moved to Syria. If the Israelis make such a strike, Syria has announced it will attack Israel…which almost certainly means Hezbollah will do so as well.

Perhaps the growing crisis will yet be defused, but if it explodes into a wider war, it will have an immense effect on global oil and commodity markets as Iran may try to have its forces blockade the Strait of Hormuz and shut off oil shipments from the Persian Gulf to the world. That means the US Navy will have to act, and then we’ll find out if Russia’s and China’s advanced, supersonic, anti-carrier cruise missiles can penetrate US carrier defenses or not.

The stakes are getting higher and higher in the Mideast confrontation. Currently, the trends are moving steadily toward a wider war.

That has just happened. Indeed, Russia has intervened even more openly and militarily than I predicted.

The first link reports that Russia is sending a “long-range anti-aircraft” system to Syria and the link further indicates that the missile batteries will be operated by Russians. These will, obviously, be Russian military personnel highly skilled in operating these anti-aircraft defenses. Russia reportedly intends to sent four of its high-tech air defense systems to Syria. The article states that “The announcement is intended to show Moscow’s support for al-Assad at all costs (emphasis added).”

That is not all. The second link adds that Russia is sending to Syria “advanced anti-ship missiles” which are supersonic missiles with a 300 kilometer range. This action is, again obviously, intended to keep US, NATO and Israeli warships well away from Syria’s coastlands. I expect these high-tech anti-ship missiles will also be manned by Russian military forces.

We now have Russia openly supporting Assad with Russian high-tech systems and Russian military personnel. This is in addition to Hezbollah (in behalf of Iran) now sending large numbers of its fighters into Syria to repel the Syrian rebels. Do not forget that China is also a staunch ally of Iran and Russia. I would not be surprised if China is also secretly sending some of its high-tech weaponry to Syria to be used against US, NATO and Israeli warplanes and ships if they attack Syria. Previous posts have suggested that China’s many new and modern weapons systems are entirely untested in combat conditions and that China needs a regional war to test their effectiveness. China’s aggressive and bellicose stances in the South China Sea and against Japan have argued that China is seeking to push those regions into a regional war.

Perhaps China can test its weaponry in the Syrian theater without having to openly advertise that its weapons are being positioned there. Indeed, if US, NATO and Israeli warships or warplanes attack Syrian positions, they may find themselves being attacked by salvos of both Russia’s and China’s latest anti-air and anti-ship weapons. I think both these nations would love a chance to fire their new anti-ship missiles against a US aircraft carrier to see if they could penetrate the Aegis defense systems protecting US carriers. The Aegis system was first designed to protect carriers vs. subsonic missiles. Whenever Russia and China get their first chance to fire their new supersonic anti-ship missiles at US carriers, we will find out if both GOP and Democratic administrations have been upgrading carrier defense systems to defeat supersonic missiles over the last two decades. If the US loses a carrier due to the neglect of US presidents to upgrade their defenses, the US people will turn against their leaders very harshly at the polls and impeachments may even be in order.

Russia’s open intervention in Syria to keep Assad in power makes this entire situation much more dangerous. With some US politicians and foreign entities calling for US intervention in Syria, the risk is growing that the USA could be fighting Russian military forces in that region. The last thing the bankrupt USA needs is to engage a modern military force in another war when American military personnel and equipment have been worn out by many years of Asian wars against low-tech opposition forces.
